Pro-ag services was formed in 2001 as a joint venture between two of Dorset's most established and respected contrators, Mike Simpson and Jim Farquharson. With the two sides of the business having expertise in serving stock and arable farmers respectively, it was realised that a joint aproach would offer the customer a formidable 'one-call' service.

Both Jim and Mike are involved in the National acocciation of Agricultural Contractors (NAAC), Jim being a past chairman and Mike the current vice chairman. Mike undertook a Nuffield Scholarship in 2000 studying contracting businesses world wide, and in 2007 won the prestigious Farmers Weekly Contractor of the year contest.

Today the business continues to grow, offering virtualy every service a farmer or landowner in the area might require, from slurry injection to crop spraying, beet lifting to lime spreading.
